Flatland Ridge is a five piece band including audio and lighting production. The band performs a blend of music from the 1960's through 2000's including Country, Rock, and Pop music.

To help us provide you an accurate quote up front, please provide information on the following points:

◘ Date (s),  Performance Time(s)/Duration, and Location 

Are you planning on multiple acts performing and if so, what order and is production provided? 

◘ Are you planning on one stage or multiple stages

◘ What type of stage does your event work with, is it indoor or outdoors, and if  outdoors, does it have a roof/cover?

◘ Can your event provide the required 220vac electrical connection with minimum 50 amp service (60 amp preferred)?

◘ Average attendance

◘Is your event free to the public or ticketed and if ticketed, what value per ticket?

Like most bands, we subscribe to the  idea that we are not paid to play. We love to play music for people!  Paying Flatland Ridge covers the drive time, setup time, loading the equipment up after the show, and driving home (often at late night hours). With many in the band also working full-time day jobs and having families at home, the quoted value is calculated carefully to help cover our time and costs while also working hard to not be over priced for many of the Midwest venues and events. Other things to know include:

◘  Flatland Ridge requires a minimum three hours prior to performance to unload, setup, and sound check.

◘ An average load out is around one hour and forty-five minutes for shows where the band is providing sound and lights.

◘ Flatland Ridge travels with two trailers plus typically two to three personal vehicles

◘ A full length show is a max of four hours including three sets and two breaks. On average, we have found  a three hour show length comprised of two sets and one break to be the most effective at maintaining or growing your audience from beginning of a performance to the end. Shows that go beyond three tend to slowly lose audience size due to overall length and tendencies for the last hour to be post 11pm. 

Flatland Ridge has performed for numerous types of events. Generally the band will travel up to five hours from Northeast Iowa. Some shows with longer drives may require hotel rooms. As long as the stage is of minimum rider size where the band can setup comfortably, we can perform for most any type of event including those listed on our SERVICES page.
